Built for People Who Care About Their Connection
RealTimeSpeed is a free, independent internet health monitoring tool designed to give you honest, continuous insights into your network performance — not just a single snapshot.
Our Mission
Most internet speed tests run for 10 seconds and give you a single number. That number tells you very little about what your connection actually does throughout the day. Your ISP might deliver blazing speeds at 3 AM when nobody is online, but throttle you during peak evening hours when you need it most. A traditional speed test would never catch that.
We built RealTimeSpeed to solve this problem. Instead of measuring your connection once and calling it done, our tool monitors your download speed, upload speed, ping, and jitter continuously — updating every few seconds and plotting the results on a live graph. Think of it as a heart rate monitor for your internet connection. Just as a single blood pressure reading does not tell your doctor the full story, a single speed test does not tell you whether your connection is actually stable.
Our goal is to empower everyday internet users — gamers, remote workers, streamers, and families — with the same network visibility that engineers at major tech companies have. We believe you deserve to know exactly what you are paying for and whether your ISP is delivering on its promises.
Who We Are

Syed Wasiq
Founder & DeveloperRealTimeSpeed was created by Syed Wasiq, a product designer and full stack developer based in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Frustrated by misleading speed test results from his own ISP, he built this tool to provide a transparent, always-running alternative that shows the real picture of your connection quality over time — not just a cherry-picked peak number.
The project is part of Wasiq.co, a small independent studio focused on building practical web tools that solve real problems.
Our Technology
RealTimeSpeed is engineered for accuracy and fairness. Unlike many speed tests that route your data through a single, potentially nearby server (which inflates your results), our tool leverages Cloudflare's global edge network — one of the largest and most reliable content delivery networks on the planet, spanning over 300 cities in more than 100 countries.
When you run a test on RealTimeSpeed, your data travels to the nearest Cloudflare edge server using lightweight binary payloads. We measure the time it takes for those payloads to travel back and forth, calculating your true download throughput, upload throughput, and round-trip latency. Because Cloudflare Workers process requests at the edge with minimal overhead, you are measuring your actual "pure pipe" network performance — not a server's processing speed.
Continuous Monitoring
Tests run automatically every few seconds, building a real-time stability graph that reveals patterns a one-shot test would miss.
Edge-Native
Powered by Cloudflare Workers running at 300+ global locations, ensuring your test measures your connection — not a distant server.
Privacy-First
We do not store your speed test data with personal identifiers. No accounts, no tracking profiles, no data selling.
Methodology & Accuracy
Speed test accuracy depends on many factors, and we believe in being transparent about both the strengths and limitations of our approach.
Download and Upload are measured by transferring binary payloads of known sizes (100KB to 1MB) to and from the nearest Cloudflare edge node. The throughput is calculated by dividing the payload size by the transfer time. We use multiple consecutive measurements and average them to reduce noise from network micro-bursts.
Ping (Latency) is measured by timing how long a minimal request takes to reach the Cloudflare edge and return. Because Cloudflare processes this at the edge (not at a distant origin server), you are measuring your true last-mile latency plus the transit to your nearest Cloudflare POP.
Jitter is calculated as the average deviation from the mean latency across consecutive measurements. High jitter indicates an unstable connection, even if average ping looks acceptable. This metric is especially valuable for gamers and video callers.
No browser-based speed test can be 100% as accurate as a dedicated hardware probe. Browser overhead, JavaScript execution time, and TLS handshake costs all introduce small measurement overhead. However, for the vast majority of users, our results are within 5-10% of dedicated measurement tools — and our continuous monitoring capability provides insights that no single-snapshot test can match.
